Hello! Mark here.
I need to give you an update on things happening with the show, so here we go.
Last week was tough due to Dave’s mother-in-law passing away. Mimi, A.K.A.: “Miss Dot” to her friends and fellow church members, will be deeply missed by all of us. She was a believer, so we have confidence in where she is now, but nonetheless less there is a void where Mimi once was which will ring with sadness for a time. Your prayers for the family are appreciated.
Last week was also our last with WVOK and Woodard Broadcasting. Yes, it was a short run. Our thanks go out to Chuck Woodard for giving us an opportunity to make WVOK the home for our show, even though it was for a very short time.
Also, thanks to our loyal advertisers who stepped up and took a chance with us as we changed stations. These businesses are the best by far, and they deserve your loyal support. We will always be grateful to them for standing with us.
And certainly not least – thanks to you! Thanks for following us to a station many of you couldn’t hear, and patiently hanging in there as we pulled the pieces together to get the show streaming online so you could hear it everywhere – even with that AM whine, LOL. You guys and gals are the best audience anywhere, and we appreciate you more than you know.
So, what now?
Right now we’re taking a couple of weeks to rest, regroup and explore options. Remember, when WDNG was sold out from under us we were approached by other stations (plural), one of which was WVOK. There are other broadcasters who know us and have expressed interest in what we offer, and we’re taking the next couple of weeks to further explore those possibilities.
Last week we began streaming the show live each morning, and what’s playing now on our web stream is a couple of last week’s shows. During the next couple of weeks we’ll dip into our archives and replay some older shows to keep things from getting stale. Also – when I was working on the web stream part of the process included building a complete online program delivery option. In other words – we built our own web radio station. That means we can actually do live shows online whenever we want from “the markandmackshow.com studios”. Now, we’re still taking some time to regroup, but we also may be doing live shows online for our web stream listeners. Keep checking our social media for updates on that.
That’s all for now. We’ll be continuing to post to social media, and occasionally post longer updates like this one to our website, so keep watching for news.
Once again, we REALLY appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for listening, for inviting your friends to join in the fun, and most importantly for your prayers as we move forward.
